Every time I'm asked about exciting nighttime hangouts in Taipei, Club Jump is always among my top three suggestions. Since it is located in a building basement, some people might have a difficult time finding it but, if you just follow the music, your ears will lead you to its shiny walls, laser lighting and intoxicating tunes.
Even though Jump has only been open about six months, the club has made a name for itself and has gained popularity in the gay community. On-going theme parties—like Wonderland, which takes place during the second week of every month, and Follow Me on the last Saturday of the month—keeps Jump hopping. Occasionally, Jump hires local and foreign DJs who play all types of house tunes like electro, club, progressive and tribal. The space layout at Jump is divided into four main areas—the lockers section, the bar, the dance floor, and social stage in the center. Each area has a different ambiance.
When you come with a group of friends, Jump offers VIP rooms for your comfort and enjoyment, but advance booking is recommended. The cost of these rooms varies with the number in your party and holidays. But the nice part is, when you make a booking for the room, you and friends will immediately get NT$1,000 worth of drinks for the night!
