"Behind every smile lies an untold past. The facial expressions that one expresses tells a story of the life that one went through." "She is Walking, She is Smiling" follows a professional photographer who discovers secrets in the smiles of people he has captured on film. It includes great catwalk clips of several super models, and a series of encounters involving sailors in port. According to Lai Shan Tsan, Art Supervisor of Performance Workshop: "This is a moving story with a strong naked charm - the signature feature of Producer, Kin Shu Jay. I myself was very touched by this piece!" You'll be left to guess who wears a genuine smile, one unfettered by a painful past: the prostitute, the neighbor girl or the professional model.

Dolls Creation Exhibition

When: until November 3rd
Where: Miniatures Museum of Taiwan
Tel: (02) 2515-2713

This exhibit features three hundred different Barbie (TM) dolls transformed into new personalities by means of costume, coiffure, and cosmetics. Barbie (TM), wearing full battle regalia, becomes Mu Gway Yin, ancient Chinese heroine. Another display shows the familiar icon revamped in Picassoesque style through bold colors and expressive detail. Known as "Art Dolls," each is a unique creation from head to toe as interpreted by individual hobbyists.
