Located in a lane behind Sogo Department Store, in the East
End of Taipei, Bon Cafe continues to attract attention with
its bright visual effects, inspired by designs the owner's
wife saw on a trip to America. Brightly-colored bricks create
a modern architectural style while, at the same time, giving
a feeling of youthfulness. As the name Bon Cafe suggests,
only the finest quality coffee is served, made from beans
imported from Italy. Coffee fans will want to try the full-flavored
Blue Mountain coffee, or the sour but aromatic Mocha. If you
like alternative selections, why not try the house specialty,
"Rose Bond"--espresso mixed with rose petals. In
addition, they also sell fruit juices, teas, cakes and other
combination drinks. For example, the owner recommends the
Czech blackcurrant. The Roseberry Milkshake, another of the
fantastic house specials, was accidentally created by the
staff during their free time. The "Fruit Genie"
is a customer favorite. Bon Cafe also has a selection of breakfast
and lunch set meals. All beverages are priced between NT$60
and NT$80. The afternoon tea prices range from NT$89 to NT$120. |
