During a trip to Japan, the owner of Redowber fell in love with a certain type of pastry--the Hokkaido cake. He decided to start importing these cakes to Taiwan, so people here could try them as well. They became a hit on the cyber market and now are sold in Redowber, along with dairy products imported from Hokkaido, Japanese frozen foods and a range of iced drinks and treats. --By Josie Wu, translated by Ann Lee

A. Each Handmade Hokkaido Cake has exactly 13 layers. Flavors include milk, chocolate, milk tea, and strawberry (NT$250/box of 4). Seasonal flavors include chestnut and cantaloupe (NT$280/box of 4).

B. Try this chilled crepe stuffed with fresh cream and various fruits; there are nine different flavors for you to choose from.

Redowber Hokkaido CakeC. Redowber is an attractive-looking store. Everything, from the walls to the ceiling, is beige and the floor is actually a map of Hokkaido. There are seats here as well, so you can enjoy your treat or beverage.
