This vivid, brightly-decorated cafe has a intimate pub like flavor. Owner Chen Chien-yuan fell in love with the ambiance of a coffee shop two decades ago and became a coffee addict. Fulfilling a dream, he started his own coffee business in Hualien four years ago, naming the place the "cafe living room". However, he still spends most of his time in Taipei, which is how Cafe Mykonos was born. Like most Hualien natives, Chen is an easy-going fellow with a laid-back attitude. He roasts all his coffee beans in the shop and has plenty to say when it comes to coffee. If you're feeling a bit down, visit his coffee house for a warm cup of joe and it will certainly brighten up your day. If you feel also feel a little overwhelmed with daily stress, the great coffees here will help you unwind. Cafe Mykonos provides a good coffee educational opportunities, as well unique offerings like the Red Wine Chilled Coffee, exclusive to Cafe Mykonos. --By Josie Wu, translated by Ann Lee
