HThe proliferation of Korean
eateries in South Taiwan shows no signs of abating, with the
newest establishment opening at the intersection of Tainan's
SiaoDong and DongHe roads, not far from National Chengkung
University. Kejia Manor's name suggests it is a Hakka-run
or Hakka-themed business, but in fact the most interesting
items here are Korean-Style Cold Noodles (NT$60), Korean Mixed
Rice (NT$60), Kimchi Hot Pot (NT$80), and a slew of ramen
dishes (all NT$60). There are other hot-pot options, including
spicy and seafood. All are usually priced at NT$80, but during
the promotional opening-period they are available at lunchtimes
for NT$60. As for sidedishes, these include both Korean-style
and Taiwanese-style kimchi (both NT$30). The interior is clean
and simple; the emphasis is on providing good food that is
very affordable, rather than creating a particular ambiance.
