Lion Sushi Restaurant is the perfect place to get good sushi without having to leave PingTung. They have a great selection on their menu, and it's always fresh. They have larger set meals ranging from NT$300 - NT$580, which is more that enough for one person. If you are just pining for some sushi they have many different combination platters to suit everyone's taste (between NT$60 and NT$200); a few of these and you are set to go. The hand rolls are only NT$40 - NT$50. Some non-sushi favorites on the menu include the abalone, tempura, salmon rice, soup and salmon and eel filets. They also have a take-out shop that is cheaper (between NT$3 and NT$20 per piece) and fast, right on the corner adjacent to the restaurant. It's located only a block from the PingTung night market, and is open every day except Monday. If you want quality sushi outside the chain shops, give Lion Sushi a try.
