In the past, in-flight meals were not generally
something that passengers looked forward to. However, all
that has started to change, as many airlines are striving
to bring great food onto their aircraft in order to provide
passengers with a satisfactory dining experience, especially
during long-distance flights.
This year, Thai Airways has just completed
a corporate image makeover. In keeping with its traditional
"smooth as silk" spirit, Thai is providing exquisite
service to passengers in its four cabin classes: Royal First,
Royal Silk, Premium Economy, and Economy. Inside the Thai-style
Royal First class, passengers can enjoy exclusive tableside
service, experience a foretaste of Thai atmosphere, and savor
delicious Thai cuisine, as well as other exclusively selected
delicacies from time to time. Royal Silk and Premium Economy
also provide a great variety of delicacies and table wines
from around the world. Thai dishes such as Hot and Sour Soup
with Prawns, Massaman Curry with Chicken, and Khanom Ba-Bin
(Coconut Cake), plus Western entrees such as Caviar, Lobster
Thermidor, and Rack of Lamb with Rosemary Sauce, all come
with an unlimited supply of free drinks. In addition, the
airline provides a reservation service to provide special
meals for passengers with special dining requirements due
to religion or health conditions. Thai Airways stresses that
even passengers in the Economy class are able to enjoy a variety
of flight meals, not to mention the same attentive service
that all of its passengers experience.
