Running out of ideas for dining out? Looking for a place to enjoy some drinks in a homey and stylish bar? Let us save you time and stir your gray matter. Takumi is a Japanese cuisine bar that is located in a dim alley right next to the cultural center. Sparkling in the gloom, this place enchants its customers with an elaborately-made Japanese cuisine bar offering many varieties of good wine and sake. Takumi surprisingly blends the colors of the Japanese flag, white and red, into the decor and creates a striking style that people can hardly take their eyes off. Well-designed furniture and polite service from the kind staff make it another excuse for you to come and enjoy your meal with whomever you like. This is beyond question one of the most creative Japanese bars you'll find in Kaohsiung. --Words and translated by Leifson McEnroe, photos by Leifson McEnroe
