Attractive, and especially so at night, the exterior of the Gondola restaurant might have caught your eye already if you have passed along TziYou Road near the Kaohsiung Medical University since February of this year, when the restaurant first opened. Outside, you will find a pleasantly-lit, tree-fringed small patio where one can enjoy al fresco dining, a good distance away from the bustle of TziYou. Inside, though you may not find bona fide Italian decor that will transport you to the nooks and crannies of Florence's lanes, you will be greeted with a spacious, comfortable dining area. As for the menu, there are plenty of options. Recommended by the manager is the Gondola Pan Fried Noodles with Meat Sauce (NT$200), and the Penne with Bacon in Baked Pita with Cream Sauce is a unique option for a reasonable NT$190.
