To accommodate Kaohsiung's growing Cosplay scene, Cafe Navi opened on JianGuo Road. The cafe is situated on the second floor of the Bridge Japan game store. Navi is a very affordable place for people to come and read their favorite Manga comics from the cafe's great selection, and interact with others who also enjoy the same entertainment. Green, Red, and Milk Tea, or soda, ranges from NT$30-40. At Navi, it's easy to relax on the island-style wicker day beds and engross yourself in a book or draw in the cafe's sketchbooks and see what other have created. Gold wrought iron chairs and glass and marble tables make for a somewhat elegant decor. The friendly staff dresses in traditional Cosplay sailor uniforms, creating a fun atmosphere. Meals range from NT$75 to 80; choices include Black Pepper Beef, Thai Lemon Chicken Legs, BBQ Pork, Mutton, and vegetarian dishes. For just a nibble, cookies and toast are also available. --Text and photos by Colin Brown, translated by Ann Lee
