The Savoy Cigar Bar first opened their doors in 1999, but did a complete renovation only 4 months ago. Located on SinTian Road, close to the popular WuFu market, Savoy is truly a multi-faceted cigar lounge. As well as carrying a full stock of cigars from around the world, including the ever-popular Cuban brands, this stylish lounge also offers a fully- stocked bar, food services and even a privately-run antique store.

Each day, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Savoy has an NT$90 minimum charge. Later on, from 7 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. the price is raised to NT$150, making them one of the most affordable lounge bars in the city. Their food is well prepared and available throughout the day, starting with basic toast for NT$50 and moving up to a delicious roast pork with black pepper sauce for NT$350. Savoy Cigar Bar features a variety of drinks, ranging from the average beer at NT$120 to more expensive offerings.
Inside they boast a comfortable, living room look and feel, making it easy for customers to sit back and enjoy a drink and a good cigar. This ambiance is reinforced by the choice of music they play in the background, which includes lounge stylings and jazz.

What sets Savoy Cigar Bar apart from many other places is the fact that they have their own "cigar appreciation club", with ongoing events happening all the time. When this writer visited Savoy, their last event had been a cigar rolling class, complete with instructions by a master roller from Cuba itself. Members of this club are informed of upcoming events by means of e-mail or a phone call. Those who are interested in learning more about cigars, and how to enjoy them, would be well advised to pay a visit to the Savoy Cigar Bar. Odds are you'd have a very enjoyable evening.
