The dishes you see on the table here all originate at a farm owned by this restaurant. This includes about 30 types of reasonably-priced seasonal vegetables, with some rarely-seen varieties like red cabbage, Brazilian fireweed, beet leaves, and Polianthes tuberosa, making this a paradise for veggie lovers. The Xinshe District farm is pesticide-free and the owner also sells its produce at traditional markets. This shop only offers healthy meals (no processed hotpot ingredients) with around eight soup bases made with RO filtered water. Among these are Sweet and Sour Tomatoes with Persoon Pepper Spices; Fresh Vegetable Hotpot (NT$398); and richly-flavored Pumpkin Soup, infused with herbal, miso, sesame and ginger flavors. Customers can also opt for other mini hotpot selections such as Boneless Beef, Pacific White Shrimp (NT$699), and Pork Belly (NT$438). In addition, the friendly owner sometimes offers free chayote marinated with lemon juice, and fresh figs.
