This cozy, unpretentious restaurant has indoor/outdoor seating and cooks up affordable, hearty western favorites such as burgers, pasta and steak, plus local and western home-style chicken and pork dishes.
Set meals revolve around a main dish–which may be ordered in extra-large servings (add NT$20) and/or as casseroles (add NT$20)–served with bread and side salad (NT$59). Friendly owner Mr. Dai prepares dishes himself and adds his own touches. The House Special Beef Burger (NT$150) comes with a sizable serving of large french fries, while the homestyle Spaghetti Carbonara (NT$119) includes large strips of delicious, fresh-cooked bacon. The menu also has steak noodles in the local style, pasta dishes with both red and white sauces, and pork, chicken and beef burgers. Soup and milk tea accompany every meal, and there’s an array of menu drinks.
Mr. Dai is also planning to expand business by offering beer and snacks in the evening. Since seating is limited, calling ahead for evening reservations is recommended. –By Michael Turton
