Introduction to Providence University and
Graduate International Program-MBA
The challenges faced by societies of the 21st century are global and interdisciplinary. So too are the solutions. Don't miss the opportunity to develop your global competencies and further prepare yourself for leadership. Enroll at Providence University (PU), a top university in Taichung, Taiwan.
PU (Jing Yi Da Xue 靜宜大學) has 355 sister schools around the world and about 1,000 enrolled international students, including exchange students and overseas youth vocational training students. We are among Taiwan's most prominent educational institutions, with 22 departments, 22 graduate programs, two Ph.D. programs, seven EMBA programs and four Education Centers .
Approximately 11,000 undergraduate students and 1,000 graduate students are enrolled at PU and taught by 360 full-time faculty members. PU is publicly recognized in Taiwan for its outstanding teaching and research resources. We also boast an international campus environment and global collaboration has been one of our most important development strategies.
With globalization becoming an inevitable trend, PU has added an internationally-recognized MBA program as part of its Graduate International Programs (GIPs) in the College of International Studies. GIPs are not merely beneficial to the internationalization of PU but also broaden horizons for both Taiwanese and foreign students as they experience cultural diversity. The primary language of instruction is English. This program's name will be changed to Global Master of Business Administration Program in the future to highlight the professional field of business administration.
Providence University's College of International Studies MBA program focuses on both the theories and practices that will make students become professional managers and executives. In addition to the chance to learn Chinese, Taiwan's central location as a hub for Greater Asia offers students opportunities to gain direct and practical insights regarding emerging markets. Furthermore, nearly 80% of the professors in Providence University's College of Management have earned their degrees from leading western universities. Combined with their roots and experience, this means that students are able to directly access job and market networks in Asia.
Internationalization is the Focus and the Mission!
The College of International Studies works to integrate teaching/learning and academic resources shared between countries, regions and fields of expertise. In addition to its aim of offering a localized education that utilizes the resources and expertise of Providence University to fulfill an educational goal that builds bridges between the school and the world with universal educational disciplines, the College also strives to foster a learning environment where both students and faculty members can create the foundation of Chinese language learning, explore a diversity of expertise, and enhance their global mobility. Ultimately, the College of International Studies envisions these efforts giving Providence University a global reputation as an international university and a strong bridge to the world.
Today, internationalization is a global trend. To expand students' global views and experiences, Graduate International Programs (Global Master of Business Administration Program) of the College of International Studies combine related qualitative and quantitative management courses to cultivate students and enable them to meet the demands of the competitive global business environment. All courses in this program are taught in English, offering foreign and local students opportunities to collaborate, and providing them with an academic and socio-cultural environment to explore the complexities of international business.

To earn a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) degree, students must obtain 18 required credits, 12 elective credits (including 3 credits in Chinese lessons), and 3 thesis credits. The program also offers a double degree between Providence University and the ESDES school of Management, Universite Catholique de Lyon, France. PU is able to grant students scholarships based on their English proficiency level.
