In the two years that it has been open, The Steak House has become most famous for its "marriage proposal" table. This table can be reserved in advance and can be decorated with flowers or a cake. Even a serenade of love songs can be arranged to make everything just perfect for "popping the question." This restaurant's large picture windows overlook the busy Taichung Kang Road commercial district, a view that is infinitely more romantic at night. Business lunches range in price from NT$380 to NT$500 and include a choice of a main course and a buffet of desserts, salads, cold cuts and fruit. The surf-and-turf meal (NT$3,500 for two persons) includes filet mignon and lobster. A chef is on hand to demonstrate how to gracefully remove the lobster meat from the shell.
