UFO Revolving Restaurant 22F, Golden Plaza Dept. Store

Towering 148 meters above the ground, UFO Revolving Restaurant offers great views of the city. The unique thing about this dining place is that it revolves 360 degrees. It's best to take your time here as 105 minutes are required to make a complete revolution. With its downtown location, diners can literally see Taichung City spread out below them. On a clear day it is possible to see the peaks of Nantou City and County. This restaurant offers mostly French cuisine with dishes such as Roasted Lamb Chops with Rosemary (NT$980), Broiled Spicy Beef Ribs with Garlic Sauce (NT$980) and Broiled Filet Mignon with Shallot, Garlic and Brazilian Relish (NT$880). Afternoon tea is available for NT$250 per person. Or, if you prefer late night views of Taichung, prices on the late night snack menu begin at NT$380. In addition, every night between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm there are live piano performances.
