Perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy decent Italian food for very low prices, Yummy Kitchen is a friendly little place run by four long-time friends. It's near-impossible to beat the good value offered here, as pasta dishes start at NT$149 and come with a good bowl of soup and drink. Selections include linguine with bacon bechamel sauce; linguine with marinated chicken and mushrooms (covered with a creamy white sauce); and spaghetti with clams in pesto. These tasty items are all prepared by the Toronto-trained chef. There are also some coffees, teas, beers and table wines. The no-frills atmosphere is in keeping with the owners' desire to provide good value and friendly, personal service in an uncomplicated setting. Yummy Kitchen is located across from the back corner of the Science Museum's Taichung Botanical Gardens, about 20 meters from the intersection of Pokuan and Hsitun roads.
