"Tien
Jan" is co-founded by color publishing entrepreneurs,
art professor, and bronze and paper design artists. It is
leisure space that combines art, education, and dining, and
with emphasis on environmental preservation and recycling.
It proposes the use of natural dye to bring color into our
lives. The restaurant is decorated based on this idea; skylight
covered in hand-dyed cloth, bronze sculpture display, and
paper lamps are full of creativity and amazement. The snacks,
desserts, and meals provided are extraordinary items made
from simple things. The rice is dyed into different colors
using natural food coloring. Dishes are priced at NT$30-NT$230.
Lessons are available that let you create unique handicrafts
in two hours. Come during open hours for lessons. Appointments
not required. Hand-dye and paper sculpturing courses range
from NT$150-NT$350. – By Tammy Huang
