If you are looking for a reasonably priced all-you-can-eat meal, look no further than Dong Tang Barbecue, a pleasant restaurant where, for NT$299, you can try everything from hot pot to barbecue. It not only satisfies customers' taste buds, but also keeps the big eaters happy with huge quantities of food. So popular is this combination that, unless you make a reservation, you could end up watching others enjoying the great food during their very busy meal hours.

The decor is predominantly Japanese-style, with little paper lanterns and red walls giving off a cozy home-style Japanese dining atmosphere. There is a salad bar by the entrance and you also have a choice of hot pot, barbecue, or even both, for those who can't make up their minds.
The hot pot soup base comes in Japanese, kimchi and spicy styles. Of these, the spicy is the most popular, with a base of duck's blood, tofu and sausages. If you enjoy spicy food, try throwing in some "you tiao" bread sticks, wait till it soaks up all the juices, then enjoy the awesome flavors. For all you gluttons out there, you can try the deluxe pot with all of the three soup bases, which pleases both fans of spicy and non-spicy food.

For the restaurant's stone barbecue, the cheese oysters are on the top of the popularity list. Big, fresh oysters are covered with cheese, then barbequed, making every bite utterly enjoyable. They are also famous for their variety of barbecue items, such as the world-famous Kobe beef, beef flank, Kyoto beef, chewy pig's tongue and pig's cheek. Other excellent barbeque items include shellfish, cold mountain deer meat, turkey meat, Japanese sweet potato and sweet rice cakes.

Attention should also be paid to the two unique Japanese dipping sauces, the spicy miso and the original miso flavor. These are for the directly barbequed meat slices and the lettuce-wrapped meat slices, respectively. The restaurant aims to provide daily and seasonal freshness to customers, so everyone can enjoy delicious fresh food with peace of mind.
