WAILI
DONUTS
*899,
LiMing Road, section 2
 |
Local
and foreign donut lovers will be very pleased with the opening
of this big new donut outlet which, for the most part, looks
and tastes like the big international donut chains. Every
day Waili offers 48 types of donuts, muffins, donut "holes"
and similar pastries--costing NT$30-35 each--with fresh flavors
regularly added. Those familiar with American-style donuts
will be pleased to note that Waili sells the thick, cake-like
donuts as well as the more common chewier bread-type donuts,
which all come plain, powdered, frosted and in other varieties.
To go with their pastries, patrons can also order good-sized
cups of hot or iced coffee (NT$35-50), hot chocolate, Nestle
Milo, ice tea and soft drinks. In addition to take-out, there
is a spacious dining area upstairs at the store (on the corner
of LiMing and ChaoMa roads). This month, Waili will open a
second branch at the corner of DongXing and DaYe roads, with
a total of five stores planned before June, 2005. --By Douglas
