Good news for food lovers in Taichung! The
Jogoya Group has built a 3,000-ping, brand-new Japanese food
heaven worth NT$400 million, and named it Johin Kaikan. On
level one is the Kaiseki Cuisine Hall, with a la carte menu
and set menus available. Red organza and the antique-style
Chinese decor gives it a strong oriental flavor. Situated
on the second floor is the festively decorated banquet hall.
A fantastic venue for any kind of large gathering, the hall
is adorned with colorful lighting. A fabulous selection of
exquisite cuisine is on offer in the a la carte menu, including
a choice of seafood appetizers, set meals, hot pots, barbequed
items, broiled items, salads and sushi. The authentic dishes
are prepared by Japanese chef Mr. Yada. The recommended "Long
Men Zhen Pin" set menu, priced at NT$8,000, uses all
the freshest seasonal ingredients. Abalone, Yukiba Crabs,
lobsters and other seafood are air freighted all the way from
Hokkaido, Japan and served fresh. Also available, at NT$800,
is the very creative "Gourd (Hu-lu)" set menu. All
kinds of delicious seafood ingredients are contained in a
gourd like container, preserving all natural food flavors.
