There are lots of yakitori bars in Taichung City, but Causeway Bay Lounge Bar differs from the rest because they have an authentic Japanese cuisine chef. According to legend, Emperor Chin's favorite dish was "Shen Zhou Shui Pen Goat" (NT$350), cooked from a whole goat. The quantity is rather huge and it is suggested that you order this dish to share with two or three friends. Other popular dishes here are Lamb Chops (NT$200), Japanese Style Teppanyaki (Beef) (NT$280), Sea Urchin (NT$160) and German Pork's Knuckle (NT$300).The drinks menu is pretty extensive as well, with beers priced between NT$150 and NT$180. Whiskeys by the bottle are priced around NT$3000, all fairly reasonably priced. Their hours are rather different as well, from 6pm to 7am, so you can come here whether you want to eat dinner, midnight snack or breakfast. They also provide karaoke.
