China Town Tea Restaurant now has a new branch in the Fengjia (Feng Chia University) shopping district, allowing its students clientele to savor authentic Cantonese-style snacks and wholesome dishes. Despite the high-quality food preparation here, the prices are extremely affordable, such as the Hong Kong Style Meal Box for only NT$49, or the Chicken Leg in Honey & Pepper Sauce with Rice, and Braised Pork Chop with Rice. High-grade poultry and other meats used here, along with homemade sauces, help guarantee an enjoyable, authentic-tasting meal at great prices. --By Niang Chen, translated by Ann Lee

A. This five-star Cantonese tea snacks eatery's new store in the bustling Fengjia area stands out with affordable prices in this competitive dining market.

B. Flavored Bean Buns (3 for NT$40) come in three flavors--peanut, black sesame and "golden sand". The "golden sand" stuffing--one of the most popular items here--is actually made with salty egg yolk, coconut cream and milk, and is a mix of sweet and salty flavors. The Supreme Yu Ho Buns (NT$45/each) are stuffed with mashed shrimp and squid pieces, plus fried noodles and lettuce for a refreshing, crunchy texture, with mayonnaise dribbled on top. Other well-liked dishes include the Stir-Fried Radish Cake with XO Sauce (NT$35) and Hong Kong Style Barbecued Radish Cake with their secret-recipe XO sauce. Before serving, this is sprinkled with chopped celery and leeks for more flavor.
