Reasonably-priced Western comfort food and variety of dining/nightlife facilities and activities offer someting for everyone here. Located at Early Bird Diner's former address, this restaurant/bar is run by three foreign friends and Hawaii 51 owner/chef Renata Lin. Lin's expertise and two of the partners' involvement in the separate Three Fat Fathers meat pie business mean that the menu is full of North American and British-style favorites, including grilled ribs (NT$450/full rack); salads (NT$120-140); pastas like lasagna; beef, turkey or veggie burgers (NT$150); appetizers, from cheese fries with gravy to potato skins; and tempting desserts like Apple Pie with Ice Cream (NT$120). On the 23rd of each month, a burger, fries and Coke is only NT$99. All beers and mixed drinks are also only NT$100. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Naomi Lai

A. Currently, there are six meat pie (NT$180) choices--like Pepper Beef, Chicken Curry, and Vegetable Curry--which all come with steamed veggies and either fries (chips) or mashed potatoes. These hearty creations are also available for take-out or delivery via Three Fat Fathers (0981-188-611), which makes the pies upstairs.

B. The large, sofa-lined basement lounge is an ideal venue for Full House's regular theme parties, weekly movie, game and open-mic nights, and live satellite game sports broadcasts. On the fifth floor, a pleasant open-air seating area with a good view is perfect for eating/drinking day or night. These two areas and a smaller 25-seat second-floor dining area with 42-inch screen, may all be rented out for private gatherings.

Full HouseC. Currently complementing the bright interior color themes is a variety of funky paintings by local artist duo ScallArt. Other art exhibitions and events are also welcomed in the future.
