Located on the second floor of the Sunshine Plaza outlet mall/Holiday Inn Express building, this shabu shabu restaurant offers very filling, premium-quality individual hot pot sets for mid-range prices. Matsuzaka pork, certified Angus Prime beef, seafood and vegetarian sets can be supplemented with extra a la carte ingredients and drinks. A. The Barley Matsuzaka Pork (NT$518) includes a "bigger-than-your face" platter of finely-sliced, top-grade pork, plus all-you-can-eat Japanese fried appetizers, a big plate of vegetables and other ingredients, soup choice (Kyushu Roasted Rice Broth pictured), congee and noodle choice, and dessert choice, plus sesame sauce and other condiments.

B. Staff members help prepare set-meal congee/noodle option Country Congee, cooking mushrooms, rice and cheese in your leftover hot pot broth to create a savory risotto-like porridge that differs from pot to pot.

C. This attractive 82-seat restaurant, offering nice views of Taichung Park, is great for individuals or groups.
