The Splendor Hotel has relaunched a completely-changed, renamed buffet restaurant that is guaranteed to win fans with its exceptional, international food selection. This includes Eastern/Western hot entrees, Cantonese dim sum, Japanese sushi, sashimi and tempura, a fresh seafood bar, fresh-made pizza and pasta stations, and dessert area, plus canned beer (no extra charge), sodas and other drinks. Adult prices for lunch/dinner are NT$1,180 weekdays and NT$1,280 weekends/holidays. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Sho Huang

A. Unique among hotel buffets is a selection of fresh-made Napoli-style pizzas, made in an imported Italian pizza oven; toppings include Fresh Mushroom; Mixed Cheese; and the East-meets-West Garlic & Salty Spicy Pork.

B. Fresh seafood lovers will love a cornucopia that includes three spotted and spanner crabs, mussels, shrimp and scallops. Even better, there is all-you-can-eat Boston Lobster for NT$1,580 (includes regular buffet) to the end of March.

C. The hotel's previous buffet restaurant has been completely transformed into an attractive, more-upscale setting.
