Focusing on light, healthy dining fare, Soul Kitchen's menu revolves around four multi-choice sets, from a NT$180 breakfast (to 11 a.m.) to a NT$520 meal, plus coffees, teas, wines and desserts. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Holmes Chang

A. The filling NT$280 "Creative Energy Breakfast" (to 2 p.m.) offers nine choices from a list of 21 items, like the pictured French Scrambled Eggs, German Sausage, Pan-Fried Ham, Potato Salad, Duck Breast with Blueberry Sauce, and Smoked Pork Tenderloin with Honey Mustard Sauce. Also included is one of three "bottomless" drink options and a bread choice, such as the pictured "bread cubes" served with dabs of kiwi, strawberry and garlic butter.

B. This spacious, very relaxing ambiance features plenty of light-colored wood and light, natural colors, with a front glass wall and big back window giving views of a tree-lined canal and garden area, respectively.

C. The all-day NT$399 tea time offer includes various cold cuts, salad, appetizers and other items, plus an all-you-can-drink featured red or white wine (limited to 90 minutes).
