Offering handmade, very creative breads, desserts, light meals, breakfast (NT$120, 10-11:30 a.m.) and drinks, this enjoyable bakery cafe is run by married couple Ben Zhang and Joyce Lin (the namesake "mom"). Options include the J.Mom Cake special (NT$260) with four small desserts and any drink under NT$160; four daily breads for take-home; and exceptional Pumpkin and Taro tiramisu, made with almond flour and chemical-free pumpkins and taro. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Angela Cheng
A. One of four dining options, the German Pancake (NT$320) is a uniquely-tasty invention featuring a fresh-baked soft, but slightly-crunchy, bread bowl filled with a healthy grilled chicken salad topped with apple vinaigrette dressing. All four meals come with a side salad, soup, dessert and drink.
B. The spacious, relaxing interior, including a big open kitchen, is designed to be environmentally-friendly, with recyclable metal floor panels and light wood tables.
C. The Berry Pot (NT$280) is another healthy creation that also features a bread bowl filled with various wild berries, topped with custard.
