This first Taichung branch of the popular Japanese steakhouse chain--which arrived in Taipei two years ago--offers various steaks and other main entrees, all with all-you-can-eat salad, various breads and soups. Set meals include these plus appetizer, dessert and drink choices. There are also three weekday NT$398 pasta options and NT$368-398 business lunches, which still include the salad, bread and soup. A. Volks is located in a modern, stand-alone building above a Family Mart, also offers a classy dining ambiance and attentive service.
B. Volks Grilled Rib Eye Steak (220g NT$768, set NT$888) is a favorite among the steaks, exclusively made with US Choice beef and only seasoned with some salt and pepper to highlight original flavors.
C. The Deluxe Triple Platter (NT$768, set NT$888) is a good sampler of Volks' main courses, including a grilled chuck steak, vanilla chicken steak, and hamburger steak. An extra prawn and scallop can be added to any entree for NT$200 more. |
