This cozy, very French-feeling dessert and light-meal outlet was just opened by Hotel ONE on the B2 level of Taichung's Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store. The hotel (and parent Landis Hotel & Resorts) already operate a Brasserie restaurant in Taipei as well as Liz Gastronomie French patisserie outlets, and this combines certain elements of both, offerings coffees, teas, sinfully-tasty desserts, and flatbread light meals. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by S. Ying
A. About a dozen fresh-made French-style desserts, including tarts, macarons and cakes, are available daily for dine-in or take-out. What should certainly eaten immediately is the Signature Brasserie Souffle (NT$480), offered with a choice of Vanilla, Chocolate, Black Sugar Sea Salt, Blueberry Yogurt, Caramel Coffee, or Mo-Cha Brandy sauces.
B. For light dining, there are four tasty flatbread options such as the Two Ways Salmon Flatbread Sour Cream, Herbs & Shaved Vegetables (NT$540).
C. There is dine-in seating for 12 next to an open kitchen, manned by staff wearing French-maid uniforms. |
