Hours: 11:30 am-3 pm, 5:30-9 pm (closed Mon-Tue)
This establishment's simple, straightforward name reflects the fact that its abundance of dining options is prepared with natural ingredients. After being closed for about six months, this popular western restaurant was recently reopened on YiChang 6th Street by the young chef/owner and his wife, working with the original team of chefs and staff. The cozy dining environment has limited seating (reservations recommended) and allows diners to watch the busy chefs as they prepare meals in the semi-open, glassed-in kitchen. Every exquisite entree mixes creativity with top-end ingredients. Examples that incorporate Asian flavors and influences include Grilled Japanese Scallops on Saffron Risotto (NT$890), prepared with imported Japanese frozen scallops, fresh fish, shrimp and seasonal vegetables, and Crispy Pork Belly and Shaoxing Sous-vide Chicken Breast Risotto. The generously-portioned entrees here are good for sharing and can be upgraded to set meals for an added charge. --By Helen Young, translated by Anna Yang
