This is the Taichung branch of Taiwan's first brewery pub offering 32 of its own beers on tap, with a long overhead blackboard indicating each beer's alcohol concentration and bitterness level. Characteristics of all the beers are clearly noted and new, seasonal formulas are selected by the owner and promoted regularly. The selections include Weizen, made with 55% German wheat and strong American hops and having tropical and bitter flavors, and English Barley Wine with floral and earthy notes, and handmade Fruit Beers. A ladies' favorite is made with non-fermented, aromatic seasonal fruit, including dragon fruit, lychees, longan oranges and mangoes. The interior has a western bistro-style ambiance and a nice touch are the drinking-water faucets at every table. Food choices include crispy pizzas, fried items, chicken wings and tortilla chips. On weekdays before 7 p.m., customers buying two beers get one free. Prices range from NT$150 for small 200 cc beers to NT$300 for large 500 cc ones. --By Uvia Chang, translated by Anna Yang
