If you're ready
to relax but feel that a local teashop is a little too sedate, try
TOP Billiards Museum Plaza and Pub. This pool hall is mellow and
relaxing, with subtle lighting and amply-spaced tables. Besides
being a good place to sharpen your pool-playing skills, it's also
an ideal place to meet up with friends and catch up on the day.
There are approximately fifteen tables to choose from, and most
of the ones on the periphery have window views looking out onto
Fu Hsing Road (Fushing Rd) to the busy Feng Chia night life. From
every table, there is a clear view of a television broadcasting
professional billiard games-for inspiration, perhaps? Other tables
border the bar, which offers a sizable selection of drinks such
as Pearl Milk Tea and Lemon Black Tea. Beer is also available by
the can for around 100 NT. In case you missed
dinner, there are a variety of snacks, such as instant noodles and
thick toast topped with various spreads. Located next to a brightly-colored
store filled with mini-photo booths, TOP Billards is fairly easy
to find once you're on Fu Hsing Rd. (Fushing Rd.) near the gates
of Feng Chia University.--by Carol Wang
