Anyone shopping for home furnishings need look no further than the brand-new, enormous City Mart, which is a shopping center dedicated almost entirely to mid-to-high range furniture stores. Currently, there are about 30 open stores in the mall's first, B1 and B2 levels. An additional three floors are yet to open. The cavernous interior court area is impressive, with its five-floor ceiling and actually resembles a real US-style mall (albeit an uncompleted one). The selection of furnishings for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and other areas is also impressive, although it appears that many local shoppers have yet to discover this mall. City Mart is located on Fushing Road in south
Taichung, on a stretch between Kuo Kuang Road and Wuchuan South Road. Look for the big mart signs and turn on Hsueh Fu Road, opposite the Police Third Precinct Station.
