Perched atop a hill rising over the coastline, the 120-meter-tall Sky Dream Ferris Wheel rises 384 meters above sea level, dominating the skyline and offering stunning views at the same level as the observation deck of Taipei 101. At a cost of NT$550 billion, this ferris wheel is the tallest in Taiwan and seventh tallest in the world and aims to attract a million riders annually. The ride in the air-conditioned cars is smooth and lasts around half an hour, and includes USB and Wifi to facilitate sharing the experience digitally. Free regularly scheduled shuttle buses leave from the Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport station at Chaoma, and Lihbao offers shuttles from the Taichung High Speed Rail station--but those require reservations. The Ferris Wheel is centrally located between the Lihbao Outlet Mall, Mala Bay Water Park and the Lihbao Land amusement park. --By Courtney Donovan Smith, translated by Anna Yang
