     This little shop may look rather plain, but serves up great ice cream and ice cream cakes. The owner, Mr. Chuang, learned his trade in the kitchens of Taipei's Lai Lai Sheraton Hotel and moved to Taichung to open his own business. He offers about 10 flavors--including the delicious walnut caramel, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, cherry and mango, pineapple and raspberry sherbets. These can be purchased for take-out or delivery in small NT$60 tubs. Even better, sit down and order one of the shop's NT$120 four-scoop creations, covered with fruit and other toppings. Mr. Chuang says that his European-style ice cream is healthy and natural, using fresh milk and cream with no added water, and fruit juices for the sherbets. Customers may also order NT$420 four-inch ice cream cakes (one day in advance) or larger six-inch (NT$650) and eight-inch cakes (three days in advance). In addition, there are various non-ice cream cheese cakes (NT$200-230).
