Chillies Indian has opened its fourth Taiwan branch with this attractive, spacious venue seating over 70. Just meters from ChongDe Road, the striking venue stands out with a range of Indian imported items–colored glass lamps, bronze Hindu sculptures, Indian art and customized, hand-painted, cushioned wooden furniture. New dishes–added to a simplified menu that makes ordering easier–include starters like unique Masala Papad Cones (NT$120 for 4), filled with vegetables, Seve Puri (NT$240 for 6) stuffed, puffed wafers, and new Pakoda fritter flavors. Among new entrees is a popular northern Indian street dish, Chole Bhature (NT$290)–a chickpea curry served with a puffed-up, deep-fried bread, and Grilled River Fish or Chicken Fillet (NT$350), plus updated Indo-Chinese dish Veg Manchurian, now served with gravy. A simplified curry menu allows you to pair one of four curry styles with chicken, lamb, mixed seafood and other choices, and there are six main BBQ (Kabab) courses (NT$320-480). Beers, spirits, cocktails, mocktails and wines are among drink choices.
