Daily 112

Working in this low-profile, but impressive, European-style restaurant, youthful chef Ken Hung demonstrates his principle of presenting traditional western cuisine with fresh local ingredients like duck breasts, seafood and a varied meats. Up to about 50 diners can enjoy his creations in an elegant dining area and private dining room. Set menus (NT$588-1,799) include bread, soup, appetizer, main course, dessert and drink. Made with well-marbled, bone-in pork fillets, Sous Vide & Grilled Tomahawk Pork Chops (NT$520) takes 12-16 hours of preparation to showcase the tender-textured meat, whose flavors are complemented by roasted vegetables, butter, lemon, apple puree and brandy sauce. Truffle Crepes with Arugula (NT$280) uses three types of cheese, black and white truffle sauce, and sliced king oyster mushrooms, with mascarpone helping to create a fluffy texture. Generous helpings of squid, white shrimp, scallops and clams feature in the spicy, savory Linguine with Grilled Seafood (NT$380). Taihu craft brews, Belgian beers, coffee and other drinks are available for enjoyment with any meal. Daily112 also provides customized menus and catering services, and can host private events by reservation. –Translated by Anna Yang, Kieran Cheng
