Jerry’s House

Jerry’s House is the type of restaurant that will please even the pickiest gastronome. Its owner returned to Taiwan after serving as the head chef at the Pony Dining The Rocks and uses his experience to create a great Australian-Taiwanese fusion of epicurean delights.
All ingredients are carefully selected and only the freshest are used in the menu. Everything is handmade, ensuring that each dish is perfectly flavored. The staff members are all very friendly and happy to help you with anything you might need and the atmosphere is pleasant and lively, with decor reminiscent of a French cafe in a classic movie.
For my first meal here, I decided to go with the tried-and-true hamburger (NT$318), which came loaded with peanut butter, bacon, lettuce, tomato slice, a little jam, and mayonnaise with a bit of a spicy kick to it. There was also a side salad with sweet balsamic vinaigrette and potato wedges. I opted for a set meal and, for an extra NT$130, received a cup of Bacon Corn Potato Soup and glass of Sun Moon Lake Black Tea. The soup was a great start to the meal, the burger was tender, succulent and delicious, and the salad and wedges balanced out the flavors very well.
The Avocado Salsa on Sourdough (NT$268) with Poached Egg, Feta Cheese (and smoked salmon for an added NT$40) was also delightful with fresh soft bread, sweet and slightly tart toppings, and a side of french fries. Creme Brulee (NT$90) and Banana Bread (NT$120) are both satisfying finishes to your meal, if you still have the space for it.
