A western ambiance and bright dining area decorated with plants creates a setting here for savoring healthy eastern zen-style vegetarian entrees. The restaurant–whose name is a transliteration for “delicious” in Taiwanese–serves tasty dishes such as Spicy Noodles, Broiled Tofu, Vegetables over Rice, and Red Beans Mixed with Black Rice that are all reasonably-priced and healthy.
All this doesn’t necessarily come easy as enjoyable, all-natural vegetarian delicacies take more effort to prepare. A plate of Dried Noodles (NT$138) is prepared with various vegetables and mushrooms, and feature noodles broiled in a soup base made with herbs and spices that includes pepper flavoring highlights. Golden Crisp and Cheese Vegetables Over Rice (NT$260) is a mix of deep-fried vegetables and cheese with Korean kimchi (fermented spicy cabbage), sesame-flavored vegetable ferns and scrambled eggs.
Yet another tasty entree, King Mushroom Pancake (NT$300), is prepared with white king mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms and king mushrooms for a crispy, delicious final result. In addition, diners can order side dishes such as a Crispy Bamboo Roll (NT$55) and savory Japanese Style Egg (NT$25), plus a Malt Drink (NT$50) that pairs well with main entrees. If you’re interested in making your own pizza, this shop also offers handmade pizza lessons for NT$250, which covers ingredients. –By Niang Chen Translated by Anna Yang
