Cocktail:
Irish Coffee
A
drink to celebrate St. Patrick's Day
By Josie Wu Translated
by Ann Lee
Come and dine at Dan Ryan's on
this day, and order the authentic Corn Beef &
Cabbage with Guinness Beer for NT$650. For this
hearty dish, corn beef is marinated with special
spices, then grilled together with cabbage and
piping-hot mashed potatoes, making it a perfect
way to enjoy this home-style Irish delicacy. On
this special day, you can also purchase green
Shandy Beer for NT$100 per glass (usually NT$130),
to pump up your green spirit.
Once again, we come to that time
of the year when people gather to celebrate
all things Irish with St. Patrick's Day. People
in many countries around the globe
go all out to celebrate this festive day with
traditions that include green clothing,
specially decorated streets, parades, green-dyed
rivers, green beer, Irish
whiskey, Irish coffee, and the traditional Corn
Beef.
Directions: Pour about three-quarters
of a cup of coffee into a glass or mug. Add in
1.5 oz of John Jameson Whiskey and squeeze some
fresh cream for flavor. Sugar cubes can be left
out if you prefer a more bitter, less sweet flavor.
