A little bit of Indonesia's vacation paradise has arrived on Tainan's JianKang Road in the form of a new bar named 'Bali'. Owner Liu Jun Wei and his sister Nicole's affection for the Indonesian island has led them to try to capture Bali in their new pub. At Bali beers go for NT$100, there is a selection of cocktails priced at NT$200 to NT$400 and a collection of nine different whiskies. If you get hungry Bali has a small menu of Taiwanese dishes. Nicole says to try the octopus and BBQ chicken. All dishes are moderately priced with nothing more than NT$300. Don't expect any rice here, as Bali only sells dumplings as an addition to your main fare. Specials at Bali include Monday Night Darts, NT$80 Beer Tuesdays and Wednesday's "special surprise" Night explains the (out of place) pole in the middle of the bar. Fridays and Saturdays your second bottle of whiskey is 50% off. Sundays it's alcohol and jazz. Minimum charge at Bali is NT$200, but not for the ladies on Thursday nights.

Alcoholic drinks are strictly prohibited for those under 18.
