        Located just off Tainan's ChingNian Road, health-food store Amenity and Organic has shelves packed with products from around the world. Grains, cereals, nuts, dry goods, jellies, jams, sauces, powders and medicines, plus organically-grown fruit, vegetables and soy products, are available here. The boss, Mr. Hsieh, is often busy helping customers choose from the plethora of items in the refrigerators and stacked on the floor. A knowledgable and interesting man, Mr. Hsieh says Amenity and Organic is more than just a health-food store. In its nine years of business it has grown to accommodate a restaurant next door, a nutrition school upstairs, and two branch outlets. The school has morning, afternoon and evening classes. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are lunchboxes, set meals, spaghetti, and hot pots, priced between NT$70 and NT$220. The store publishes its own bulletins, which give health news, promote products, list class schedules, and provide some delicious-sounding recipes.
