Kaohsiung residents who live near the Liouhe Night Market might remember Ali, a Pakistani whose foodstall was a big hit. Ali has now relocated to the Culture Center neighborhood, and is drawing customers from as far afield as Fengshan and TzuoYing. Working with his Taiwanese wife, he uses a wok turned upside down over a burner to make a soft burrito-type wrap. These he fills with beef, lamb, chicken, tuna or mixed fruit (NT$40-50). Cheese or mustard can be added for NT$10. To wash it all down, there's Indian Milk Tea (NT$20)--somewhat like Taiwanese milk tea, but with spices added.
