50 Pizza is a chain restaurant well known for its bright orange signs and inexpensive prices. Its headquarters are in Kaohsiung, with 20 restaurants scattered throughout the city. Why the name 50 Pizza? Because the pizzas start from NT$50. Each pizza is about 6 inches in diameter (a good size for one person). 50 Pizza caters to individuals, but if families or groups of people stop by there will be no arguing about pizza toppings, as each person can order the pizza of their choice. The Hawaiian pizza (NT$50) was good, although next time I'll ask for the corn to be left off! The seafood pizza was also tasty, and for an extra $50 you get a Churro and a large grapefruit tea. The pizzas are made right in front of you and according to the boss all the seafood is fresh. Their menu is extensive, so if you're not into pizza, you can choose from a variety of rice dishes, pasta, spaghetti, soups, bagels, desserts and teas - everything priced under NT$110.
