During those warm summer days, have you ever thought about listening to the natural song of a creek and sitting under trees watching birds while having your lunch or dinner? If you have, then there is an excellent, dream-like spot to carry out your wish. Gotham Garden, featuring these attractions, is partially hidden (look out for their sign) in an alley in a pretty popular area nearby JueJiang. This place has a superb European style in both its appearance, as well as its food and drink offerings. They offer a set meal (lunchtime only) for NT$180, which changes weekly. The menu has many fabulous dishes to choose from, such as Roast Salmon with Puff Pastry, Smoked Ribs, Steamed Seafood, Tuna & Mushroom Spaghetti, hotpots and more (ranging between NT$280 and NT$450). Most of them come with an appetizer, aperitif, salad, soup and bread, dessert and drink. Beverages include iced tea (NT$70 - NT$80), juice and coffee (from NT$100) and flower tea (NT$120). In this writer's opinion, visiting Gotham Garden is almost like a luxurious trip back to the 1950's and very enjoyable indeed.
