A very recent addition to Kaohsiung's list of fresh, fast and delicious restaurants, Vn-Hoai-Pho is the city's newest Vietnamese-style diner. Coming to you from a franchise of Vietnamese restaurants in Taiwan, owner Mr. Wang and his wife promise fresh ingredients, affordable prices and even a custom-made touch to a humble, yet tasty, menu. Anyone will appreciate such details as the special carbon-filtered steamed rice and a savory homemade-style soup made from Chinese herbal medicinal ingredients. Soups range in ingredients and price. The seafood noodle soup is NT$80 while the beef noodle soup is NT$70. Try the shrimp cake at NT$80, it is both fresh tasting and completely filling. Don't miss a variety of deep-fried spring rolls like the shrimp or the mushroom at NT$60-NT$80. An English menu is being prepared. This place is great for students or anyone wishing to save money without sacrificing a fresh and delicious eating experience.
