No doubt one of the most unique hotel food and beverage outlets to come along, Oshare is an outdoor barbecue and beer restaurant located right next to the Howard Prince Hotel parking lot. In the spirit of Taichung’s many open-air barbecue and beer joints, the Howard Prince is offering a variety of reasonably-priced BBQ delicacies, such as kebabs, satay, sausages, bacon and scallion rolls, spicy clams, and Taiwanese-style snails, plus fried rice or noodles and other extras. Most individual BBQ items–grilled as you wait–cost only NT$30. Mugs of draft Taiwan Beer are NT$120 and imported bottled beers are NT$100, with buy-three-get-one-free deals. There is also soda and juice. The hotel plans to continue Oshare until October 10, when it will close for winter.
