Two award-winning Hollywood filmmakers and a Canadian graphic artist have teamed up with a local Taiwanese travel agent to create the funkiest lounge in Taichung. “The Loft” serves lunch and dinner in the sarong and lantern filled “Nipa Room”, and hosts live acoustic performances in the underground “Red Lantern” lounge. Other services include: guest rooms, high-speed internet, competitively priced air tickets, Kung Fu/Taichi-Yoga/Dance classes, scooter/cell rentals, book/movie loan, and a well-managed job/buy & sell/info board. Conveniently located in the Canal District near “Napoli”, directly across the canal from “Night Bar”. (Look for the large bamboo #125 sign on the front.)
